Detroit, MI – March 31, 2025 – Foxxtecca is excited to welcome Nando Felten as its new Director of Community Engagement and Outreach. A two-time University of Michigan graduate, Felten brings a strong background in education, technology, and community development.

Most recently, he served as Community Manager for Google Code Next in Detroit, where he led the creation of an after-school STEAM program at the newly renovated Michigan Central Station, making Google the station’s first tenant. He built a pipeline connecting local students to world-class tech education, ensuring Detroit’s youth had access to innovative learning opportunities.
Foxxtecca's Co-Founder and President, Kellie Crawford, expressed excitement about welcoming Detroit-grown talent Nando Felten to the team, emphasizing his unique ability to elevate the organization's mission. "We're thrilled to have Nando on board—not only does he embody the innovative spirit of Detroit, but his proven dedication to community development will greatly enhance our impact," Crawford said. "Bringing talent like Nando to Foxxtecca underscores our commitment to empowering communities right here in Detroit and beyond."
Felten is also the co-founder and COO of Building Successful Bridges, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering students with essential career and professional development resources. His commitment to transforming education into a tool for liberation is reflected in his work with Detroit students, creating equitable opportunities and fostering real-world learning experiences. Additionally, he played a key role in the development of the LEAPS program at the University of Michigan’s Marsal School of Education, an innovative four-year degree program centered on problem-based learning and meaningful community engagement.

Felten’s journey, which began with a dream to start a car company at 12 years old, led him through roles as an engineer, scientist, and educator. Reflecting on this journey, Felten shared, “My dream of starting a car company at 12 years old took me on an unexpected journey, from engineer to scientist to educator. But that dream was never deferred. Now, I’m in a position where I can help push our culture forward in mobility and allow students to be not just consumers of their culture and technology, but creators.”
“Nando’s expertise in community engagement will be instrumental in expanding Foxxtecca’s impact. His vast network and leadership in various industries will drive new programming and deepen our commitment to empowering the next generation, building bridges to various industries,” said Kellie Crawford, Co-Founder of Foxxtecca.
Felten will lead Foxxtecca’s community outreach efforts, develop partnerships, and create engaging programs that connect underserved youth to careers in mobility, technology, design, and innovation.
