Detroit, MI - The African American Automotive Association (AAAA) is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Superlap, a premier sim racing facility located on historic Woodward Avenue in Michigan. The partnership will bring the AAAA’s innovative STEAM-based education curriculum to underserved youth in the Detroit area.
Through this program, the AAAA will create 8 race teams, with students taking on roles as drivers, mechanics/engineers, marketing teams, and business development teams. Using Superlap’s state-of-the-art simulators equipped with 4-point motion systems, participants will train like professional racers while also learning essential skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and the business of motorsports. Teams will compete locally and have the chance to advance to national & global competitions, expanding their reach and opportunities for growth.

Christopher Harris, founder of the AAAA and co-founder of Foxxtecca, shared his vision for the partnership: "This partnership with Superlap perfectly aligns with our commitment to innovation and accessibility, starting with the Detroit community. In the near future, we’ll announce how qualified drivers and teams from this program can transition their simulator skills to real-world racing. This collaboration is about creating accessible pathways for underserved Detroit youth to dream big and make those dreams a reality."
Kellie Crawford, AAAA's Creative Director and co-founder of Foxxtecca, expressed her excitement: "We are thrilled to bring this incredible program to the Detroit area. Superlap’s cutting-edge technology provides the perfect environment for our students to explore their passions and develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime. This is more than just racing—it’s about empowering the next generation to lead in creativity, innovation, and teamwork."
Dan Cycholl, co-founder of Superlap, added, "Superlap is excited to partner with the Association and Foxxtecca and the programs they provide for diverse communities. It’s thrilling to help youth discover their talents for use in the automotive and motorsport space. We look forward to making a meaningful impact with our friends at the AAAA & Foxxtecca."
